Welcome to Duckings, our Baby Room, and meet its Head of Room, Emily, and its mascot, Delilah Duck.

When babies and young children start in the Duckling’s room it is important that we settle the child in and start to build bonds with them. Children that are emotionally secure are able to thrive and develop. Each child is assigned a key carer and throughout each session children have time with their key carer individually and in small groups. These interactions are essential for developing their relationships with adults and other children, building their confidence and self-esteem. Having a cuddle while the baby has their milk or just having snuggle time builds the close bonds with the key carer.
